“There's an entire place where we can explore the art of women's strength, and women's power and women's recovery. That is the kind of art that I am trying to, or that I am making. The art that has come from my recovery from my trauma, my recovery from my s**cide attempt and my ongoing recovery from my eating disorder, exploring my own understanding of what it means to claim, and take up space on my canvas, and in the world. It’s easy to look at my creative output and recovery and see how it gets bigger, brighter, more colorful. I love looking at that through time and seeing myself get better.”
